Women and girls who have been abused need “essential services,” a group of core services that help them right away and in the long run. Health, police and justice, and social services are some of these services. When they work together, essential services can help women who have been sexually assaulted and those who have been abused by their partners in a wide range of situations.
Many women and girls worldwide still don’t have access to high-quality, multi-sectoral services that are important for their safety, protection, and recovery, especially those who already face a lot of discrimination. Even if essential benefits are, they are usually not well-funded, understaffed, or not very good.
As long as the Sanrakshan Foundation is working to improve the quality and access to comprehensive essential services for people who have been abused, With help from a lot of different governments, we are giving technical advice on how to make sure that all kinds of multi-sectoral services and responses are high-quality.
In addition, the Sanrakshan Foundation wants to make sure that shelters and crisis centers stay open during the COVID-19 pandemic. They also want to ensure that scaled-back or remote services are still available while taking safety precautions.
